What is the effect of coolant?
1. Protect the engine and cooling system to avoid rust and corrosion.
2. Avoid the engine being too hot or freezing when driving in extreme climates.
3. Absorb the heat from the engine and circulate it back to the radiator.
Coolant needs to be replaced because as time goes on the chemical material will break down and become ineffective - rust then be damaged.

Type of coolant
IAT
- The longest history, but there are a lot of disadvantages.
- It will promote sediment formation and clog the radiator.
- Also IAT consumes quickly so it will be replaced frequently.
- Not used for modern vehicles due to the older technology
OAT
- Usage is prolonged as OAT contains organic acids and corrosion inhibitors.
- For most light-duty automobiles.
HOAT
- Combine with IAT and OAT
- Usually used for America (Ford, Chrysler) and the cars produced by European car manufacturers.
What is the element for choosing the coolant?
1. Pigment slightly, better with some transparency.
If the pigment is too heavy, it will stick to the radiator tank.
When you change the new coolant, it may lead to pollution and inaccurate concentration.
2. Formula certificated or complies with the regulation (ISO,ASTM INTERNATIONAL)or the brand is the supplier for car manufacturers.
3. We can't identify accurately through the color, OAT and HOAT usually are orange or yellow, so it`s easy to misunderstand.
